2007 DogCatemy Awards Gala Focuses on Saving Lives

Tongues were out and tails were wagging at North Shore Animal League America's 2nd Annual DogCatemy Awards Gala, at Capitale in New York City, on November 29th. With more than 400 attendees, on both two legs and four, this unique event that encouraged canine company turned out to be an exciting and entertaining success.

The media was in full swing, enthusiastically covering the action. Some of those "pawsing" on the red carpet for the buzzing paparazzi included Mistress of Ceremonies Jodi Applegate, Gala Host Toni Senecal, Rachel Ray, Beth Ostrosky, Howard Stern, Robin Quivers, Gary Dell'Abate, and Richard Belzer.

DogCatemy Awards categories included Best Dogumentary, Best Musical, Best Pawformance, Best Tail Waggin' Comedy, Best in Show, and the national online Amateur PetFlix Video contest, My Pet's Got Talent.
